Rotting Corpse Flyers 1985

The best thing is that RC was going after these dreaded posers or if you were really cool you called them - poseurs.

I remember there was a band playing around this time who I've forgotten their name that had a questionable tune called "Thrashing for Action"  These were funny times- moving from glam metal bands to heavy, heavy speed metal and some people kind of got confused along the way.

This may have been the first show I ever witnessed of Corpse.  At the soon to be destroyed Rascals in Arlington.  At this time Corpse played mostly covers except the three originals from the first demo.  It was pretty awesome to see people play the heavy songs that we were listening to at the time that no one really seemed to know about.

Walt's step dad, Frank, helped make these flyers. He was a VP at a printing company at that time. I still enjoy seeing the bold block letters- ROTTING CORPSE.  This was before someone made the logo that we still use to this day.
