Rotting Corpse Flyers 1987

1987 San Antonio, TX - This was the first show I played with Corpse.  I remember the place had been closed and we didn't think we were going to get to play at first.  Louie Carrisalez of Helldogs told me a story about a guy who had died playing at the club and he said he saw his ghost that nite.  But I also remember Mo shitting on the floor in the backroom with a chair with no seat...

We stayed at Bob of Helldogs apartment that nite.  He had played in the San Antonio Slayer once upon a time.

(Mo - vox; Walt - git; JohnP - git; Randy - drums; Steve - bass).

1987 Corpus Christi, TX- This gig was amazing- at least 500 crazy kids going nuts- one of the biggest pits I've ever seen, a giant cyclone of bodies.  Easily one of the largest shows this boy ever played.  I remember at the end of the show everyone in the band except me stage dived into the crowd.  I still feel like puss thinking about that one.  AnkorWat contained Danny who later played for NIN and Adam who started the band, Skrew.

(Mo - vox, Walt git, JohnP - git, Randy - drums, Steve- bass.)

1987 Edinburg, TX near McAllen- I remember walking into the SunPalace - a roller rink!  They were playing Shout at the Devil on the PA.  I remember 10 year old little Mexican kids heading banging during that show and one guy yelling at me before War on Drugs to tell me he'd smoked one with Mo.  I remember after the show soaking my hands in a bucket of ice because my finger hurt so bad from playing so hard.

South, south Texas you even have to cross border patrol on the way back- we were marched out the bus and lined up in front of three Poncho Villa looking Border Patrol agents so that a drug sniffing dog to check us out.  Thankfully he didn't find anything.

(Mo - vox, Walt git, JohnP - git, Randy - drums, Steve- bass.)

The infamous Dark Angel tour which is ton of stories in itself.  These flyers were pretty big.  Walt's stepdad worked at a printing factory and made these bad boys. These shows were played with Walt on git & vox, Steve on bass, Roger on git and Louie C on drums.

PIX from those shows...
