PROCESS REVEALED was formed in September 1987 by bassist/vocalist Steve Murphy and guitarist Craig Reeves. After a month of searching for drummers, they decided on Eric Nordstrom, thus completing the lineup. PROCESS REVEALED entered the studio for the first time on January 17, 1988 and cut a three-song demo (Of Trine). The songs on this demo are: "Pursuit of the Mind's Eye," "Stream of Conscience," "Thank you - it's Forgotten," and the talking bio.

PROCESS REVEALED once again entered the studio on 4, 5, and 12 of April to record the Everybody is on My Side demo. Andy TerHaar, who replaced the former drummer, Eric, played on this demo. A slight change from metal to hardcore can be heard on this tape. The songs recorded are: "Progress," "Thank you - it's Forgotten," "The Unspoken Truth," and "A Two-Sided Sword."

On May 15, 1988 the band recorded a third demo in hopes of overshadowing the bad production on the second demo. The Not Having to Say We're Sorry demo has two older songs that were redone: "Progress," and "The Unspoken Truth." Two newer songs done by the band were: "Human Destination," and ""Tragedy (of a rockstar)." PROCESS REVEALED knowing that the king is still alive did an Elvis cover: "Heartbreak Hotel."

From each demo a progression from the band's metal roots to a new refreshing sound can be heard. Never quite escaping the "progressive" label, PR is the epitome of "different." The band played several shows throughout the summer of '88 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Helping to bring several bands from California to play Dallas can be added to its list of credits.

On the one year anniversary of P.R., the 4th demo, 4:Yet Another, was recorded. Of the four songs on this tape two were redone while: "Candidate, I," and "Some Day We'll Learn," are new.

Around the first of 1989, Andy left the band and Carl Nordstrom, brother of Eric, joined. In June Process recorded another tape. It is 7 songs never recorded before with exception of "S.D.W.L." The song titles are: "Problems at Home," "What's your Sign?" "Help me from Myself," "Last Resort," "God's Army," and "I Couldn't Realize." The tape is available to any one who wants it.

PR '88: Steve Murphy, Eric Nordstrom, Craig Reeves

Craig and I have been friends since the six grade in Coppell. Before I started Eldritch Rite, we had a band called Dry Heavin. After PR, we played together in Dead Poets, Crimson Dance and the bat mastersons. He's been my best friend, and I suppose it helps with all the difficult times we had in playing music. His current band is called Novachrome. (sdm)
